Circus Charade

The Circus Charade - The Show Must Not Go On!

Wild animals do not voluntarily wear roller skates, drive fire engines, ride bicycles, dance, stand on their heads, box, balance on balls or jump through rings of fire. They don’t perform these tricks because they want to, they do it because they are beaten, abused, bullied, deprived of food and terrified of what may happen to them if they don't. Trainers of these animals abuse them, they use electric prods, bull hooks, muzzles, tight collars, leg ties, whips and many more painful implements. Travelling constantly means that animals are confined to small trailers with little light for days on end in the extremes of hot and cold weather. They are confined to cramped and filthy cages in which they eat, drink, sleep, defecate and urinate - all in the same place. In more than 35 dangerous incidents since 2000, elephants have broken out of their cages, killed and injured handlers and attacked members of the public.

If you don't go, they won't beat them!
